Responsibilities
- Formalize lesson plans on a weekly basis for the upcoming instructional period.
- Align instructional objectives with curriculum standards and make informed decisions about instructional goals.
- Evaluate student performance through both informal and formal assessments and observations.
- Design and implement activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of the children in the program.
- Utilize a variety of instructional materials, including contextual resources, supplementary materials, teacher-created content, and various learning tools.
- Maintain accurate and timely educational assessments and progress notes for all assigned students.
- Train and supervise a teacher assistant within the classroom.
- Regularly communicate with parents to discuss the child’s progress.
- Attend Open House, Back to School Night, Teacher In-Service days, and all weekly staff meetings and teacher curriculum meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Elementary Education preferred).
- Montessori experience (preferred).
- NAMC certification (preferred or willing to obtain within the first year of employment).
- Effective communication skills with parents.
- Experience with lesson planning and development.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to an ever-changing environment.

Final compensation is determined based on a combination of factors, including years of experience in a similar role, relevant certifications and/or credentials, and the size and/or geographic location of the school.
