About the Role

To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. Provide instruction and support in the curriculum areas of Physical Education, Health, and DAPE (Developmental Adapted Physical Education).

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction in assigned curriculum areas, ensuring equitable use of instructional resources and technologies.
  • Implement district, school, and program goals and objectives.
  • Maintain contact and communication with guardians/caregivers to support scholar development.
  • Design, deliver, and assess curriculum according to district guidelines.
  • Provide in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning as applicable.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in district and building leadership activities.
  • Engage in teacher development and evaluation processes as part of the district’s Qcomp program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • MN teaching license in Physical Education, Health, and DAPE, or a valid MN teaching license in another field with willingness to obtain an Out of Field Permission.*
  • If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2 license.**
  • Employees must be licensed in all three fields (Physical Education, Health, and DAPE) to obtain continuing contract status in Osseo Area Schools.

Pay

Hourly rate: $36.74 - $49.07 (based on the teacher salary grid).

Schedule

  • FTE: 0.8 (80% time).
  • Desired start date: August 31, 2026.
  • Shift: First (Day).
  • Job Type: Full Time, on-site.

*Out of Field Permission allows educators to teach in a field outside their licensure area under specific conditions.

**Tier 1 and 2 licenses are provisional pathways for educators working toward full licensure in Minnesota.
