About the role
The successful candidate will be considered for all open Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing positions in school districts across the state of Vermont.
Responsibilities
- Observe, consult with, and assist special and regular education staff as they adapt classroom instructional strategies to accommodate students with varying degrees of hearing loss.
- Provide direct instruction and serve as a liaison between the school and various community agencies and professionals that provide services to deaf and hard of hearing children and their families.
Requirements
- Master’s degree
- Licensed in the state of Vermont within 90 days of hire as a teacher with specialized training in working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing (Special Education, TOD endorsement or provisional endorsement).
- Three years’ experience preferred
