About the role

A leave replacement position for a Teacher of Health and Physical Education is available with the New Jersey Department of Education. The position is effective immediately through December 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach health and physical education classes to students
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure student safety
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning

Requirements

• New Jersey Department of Education certification required
• Clearance from Public Law 2018 C.5
• NJDOE Office of Student Protection clearance required

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of health and physical education curriculum
• Experience teaching K-12 students
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
