Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver effective lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student progress.
• Mentor and support English Learners (ELD) and other PHLOTE students.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement instructional strategies.
• Assist with AZELLA testing and other ADE compliance requirements.

Requirements

• AZELLA testing and other ADE compliance requirements for English Learners and other PHLOTE students.
• Arizona Elementary Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts OR English Approved Area OR Arizona Middle Grades Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts OR English Approved Area OR Arizona Secondary Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts OR English Approved Area OR Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with English Approved Area AND Arizona SEI (Structured English Immersion) Endorsement OR Spanish-Bilingual Endorsement OR ESL Endorsement.
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Prior to start date, proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
• Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students.
• Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement.

Comments

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage. Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
