Teacher (Float for Partial Hospitalization Programs)

About the role
We are seeking a Teacher to join our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) teams in supporting adolescent clients with their schoolwork. Locations you may provide coverage for:
- Paramus: 40 Eisenhower Dr, Paramus, NJ 07652
- Parsippany: 99 Cherry Hill Rd #220, Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ 07054
- Branchburg: 3322 US-22 Bldg 14, Suite 1403, Branchburg, NJ 08876
- Cranford: 65 Jackson Dr #202, Cranford, NJ 07016
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional services during scheduled academic programming within the PHP.
- Communicate with school liaisons to obtain assignments and academic materials for students.
- Adapt and implement provided curriculum to meet individual student learning needs.
- Incorporate flexible teaching methods to address academic and social-emotional challenges.
- Consult with the Special Education Coordinator to implement accommodations and modifications outlined in students’ IEPs or 504 Plans.
- Provide a structured and supportive learning environment that aligns with therapeutic programming.
- Monitor student progress, engagement, and behavior, and communicate concerns promptly.
- Foster resilience, self-confidence, and motivation for students experiencing academic disruption.
- Collaborate with PHP clinical staff to coordinate schedules and support whole-student development.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with relevant PHP staff as required.
- Communicate regularly with home school districts and families regarding student progress, attendance, and educational needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences as required.
- Prepare transition summaries and final grade reports upon student discharge.
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information.
- Complete all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- New Jersey state Teacher Certification required.
- Special Education Certification and prior teaching experience in behavioral health or alternative education settings preferred.
Pay
Starting compensation for this role is $56,000.00 per year; final compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
Schedule
Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
