Full Time Teacher - Float

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our expanded team for the school year. This unique position involves floating between behavioral health locations within Northshore Massachusetts (Concord, Amesbury, Lowell, Salem, Methuen, Nashua), providing academic support to school-age K-12 patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily lesson plans
• Provide individualized assistance to students
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
• Teach in a small classroom setting with most class sizes ranging from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time
• Work a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday

Requirements

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• MA state teaching license
• Comfortable working with adolescent-aged students
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
• Reliable transportation
