Part-Time Float Teacher

About the role

The Learning Experience – East Brunswick is seeking a dependable and energetic Part-Time Float Teacher to join our afternoon team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and loves working with children of different ages. As a Float Teacher, you'll support Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms during the busiest part of the day, helping ensure every child receives exceptional care and every classroom runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support for Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs as needed
• Assist Lead Teachers with learning activities, transitions, playground time, and end-of-day routines
• Create a warm, safe, and engaging environment where children feel supported
• Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
• Follow all New Jersey licensing regulations and center policies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous experience working with young children in a childcare, daycare, preschool, or school setting preferred
• Reliable, flexible, and comfortable working with multiple age groups
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus

Pay

$17–$18 per hour

Schedule

Part-Time, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
