Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and developmentally appropriate learning experiences through active supervision that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Create a culture of safety by effectively implementing and maintaining classroom curriculum, routines, and assessments
- Engage families as active partners in their child development through communication, home visits, conferences, and transition plans
- Ensure inclusive learning by supporting children with special needs or IEPs and implementing positive support plans in alignment with program policies
- Collaborate with teaching staff to strengthen classroom practices and overall program quality
Requirements
- Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent coursework in early childhood development, focusing on infants and toddlers
- Willingness and enthusiasm to work directly with and support children in a hands-on classroom environment
- Previous experience in a classroom environment, preferred

Work Environment
Work is performed in an Early Head Start classroom and outdoor learning settings with infants and toddlers. The environment is active and fast-paced, requiring continuous interaction with children, families, and staff while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Physical Demand Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting on the floor, and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds. Must be able to actively supervise infants and toddlers, assist with daily care routines, participate in indoor and outdoor activities, and respond quickly to children's needs and emergencies.
