Teacher - Drama
About the role
A regular 10-month contract with full benefits effective the 2026-2027 school year. By Board Policy 7440, a teacher must remain in his or her school for three school years.
Responsibilities
- Teach drama and/or enhancements courses to students in grades K-12.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum standards.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback through formal and informal assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects.
- Maintain accurate records and report student performance to parents and guardians.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements
- Master's degree in education or related field.
- Valid teaching license in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience in teaching drama and/or enhancements at the K-12 level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of current educational theories and practices.
- Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage classroom effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Pay
NC Teacher Salary Scale plus local Board approved supplement. (See chart below)
