Teacher

Lexington, NC – Cadence Academy Preschool is hiring immediately for a Preschool Teacher.

Qualifications

• High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours
• Minimum of 6 months previous experience as a preschool teacher or in a licensed daycare
• Child Development Associate credential or college degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Embrace Cadence Education’s philosophy and work as part of a teaching team to create a positive learning environment
• Document and share important milestones with parents
• Collaborate with other teachers and leaders to implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Respect and observe children’s interests; intervene when needed to maintain safety
• Enhance children’s play with language, toys, and activities
• Encourage and model socially appropriate behavior and share ideas in planning a balanced daily schedule (quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, fine/gross motor)

Pay

• Hourly rate: $14.80 – $17.80
