About the role

WEST OAK LANE CHARTER SCHOOL is seeking a Pennsylvania certified teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will teach Elementary Education grades 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7-9 Math and Science, and Special Education.

• Monitor and assess students' performance to identify areas for improvement and remediate as needed
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, parents, and other school staff
• Teach according to Pennsylvania academic content standards and principles of curriculum design and delivery
• Select and use appropriate instructional methods and materials for new subjects
• Have knowledge of Pennsylvania academic content standards
• Have skills in curriculum design and delivery, teaching and learning for individuals and groups
• Have ability to monitor and assess students' performance
• Have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Have Pennsylvania Certification in K-6, 7-9 Math & Science, and Special Education (Instructional I or II)
• Hold a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Education (preferred)

Requirements

• Knowledge of Pennsylvania academic content standards
• Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum design and delivery, teaching and learning for individuals and groups
• Skills in selecting and using appropriate instructional methods and materials when teaching new subjects
• Ability to monitor and assess students' performance to identify areas for improvements and to remediate when appropriate
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, parents, administrators and other members of the school
• Pennsylvania Certification K-6, 7-9 Math & Science, Special Education (Instructional I or II)
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Education (preferred)
