Teacher Assistant - Sunset Montessori School

About the role

Sunset Montessori School seeks teacher assistants who are proficient in English and ideally bilingual in Spanish or French. The school follows the Montessori Methodology and is dedicated to early childhood education for children aged 1.5-7 years old.

Responsibilities

• Work with the school team to care for children and educational programming
• Provide quality and child-directed education within small teacher/child ratios

Qualifications

• DCF staff certificate required to work with preschool-aged children
• CPR certificate, Level 2 fingerprints
• Ability to work well with families and other team members
• Montessori certification or ability to train and get certified immediately
• Complete understanding and ability to implement all regulatory processes
• Participation in parent and staff meetings pertaining to programs served
• Participation in programmatic planning for summer programs
• Experience as a Montessori teacher assistant is a plus!

Pay

The salary range will be dependent on acceptance of a full-time position with paid 40 hours and benefits; versus if you are only seeking part-time.
