About the role
As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll join a dedicated team committed to fostering a nurturing and educational environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Your primary responsibility is to support the Lead Teachers in implementing the Montessori curriculum, ensuring a safe and engaging space for all students.Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
- Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans
- Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication
- Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity
- Model appropriate social behavior and actively engage with students
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- A genuine love of children
- Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children
- An understanding of health and safety guidelines
- Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
