Teacher Assistant Infant/ Preschool

About the role

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll join a dedicated team committed to fostering a nurturing and educational environment for infants and preschoolers. Your primary responsibility is to support the Lead Teachers in implementing lesson plans, maintaining a safe and engaging classroom, and encouraging each child’s growth and independence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication
• Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity
• Model appropriate social behavior and actively engage with students
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• A genuine love of children
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children
• An understanding of health and safety guidelines
• Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
