Teacher Assistant Duty Free (Grade: K-4)
About the role
Assist in conducting intensified learning experiences for students in assigned areas and relieve teachers of various non-instructional duties. Assist teachers in managing student arrivals and departures. Perform supportive tasks for certified teachers who are primarily non-instructional. Assist teachers and students in achieving program or activity objectives. Maintain discipline in the absence of the teacher. Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow-up learning activities. Assist in filing, organizing materials for distribution, and recording information. Maintain student records, attendance, and files. Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Accredited Senior High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency)
- Associate degree, 48 college credit hours, or pass an academic assessment
- Paraprofessional certificate from State Board of Certification
- Proficient in basic communication techniques and language
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the general public
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to follow verbal and written instructions
- Good writing skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and employees
- Demonstrated flexibility to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing world
- Demonstrated willingness to remain current with the latest developments in the profession
