Teacher Assistant – Computer Lab

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher
• 48 college credits in education or Work Keys test
• Computer skills required
• Preference for experience working in an elementary classroom setting

Performance Responsibilities

• Teach students how to use computers for computer based instruction
• Train students to adapt classroom learning to multi-media computer exhibitions
• Order computer programs to help enhance student needs
• Teach computer terminology to students
• Attend all technology training held by the district
• Report needed software to the appropriate personnel
• Teach students word processing
• Keep an inventory of all computers, equipment and software in the remedial lab
• Perform basic maintenance on computers
• Be a positive role model for students, parents and the community

Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board of Trustees' policy on evaluation of District personnel.
