Teacher Assistant/Bus Driver

About the role

The Teacher Assistant/Bus Driver position at Burns Middle School is responsible for assisting teachers in the classroom and operating the school bus to transport students.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional support
• Operate the school bus safely to transport students to and from school
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching and learning skills

Requirements

• Valid NC driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Experience working with children preferred

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Education or related field
• At least one year of experience in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of child development and educational principles

Pay

The pay scale for this position is Teacher Scale N.

Schedule

This is a 10-month term position.
