Key Responsibilities
- Support both Career Campus and On Campus Transition (OCT) by working directly with students in classroom, campus, and community settings.
- Aid in teaching lessons and helping students build job skills, independence, social skills, and other skills needed for adulthood.
- Help with the admissions process, including communicating with families, organizing application materials, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new students.
- Assist with lesson planning, classroom activities, and creating learning experiences based on student needs and program goals.
- Help plan and lead new student orientations for both programs.
- Support and supervise field trips, campus activities, community outings, and other student experiences.
- Work closely with program staff to help coordinate daily activities and ensure programs run smoothly.
- Maintain student records, attendance, progress notes, and other required documentation.
- Monitor student progress and provide support as students work toward their educational, employment, and personal goals.
- Attend meetings, assist with scheduling, and help complete administrative tasks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other departments, including education, employment, and student support teams, to ensure students receive the services they need.
- Help coordinate internships, work experiences, and other community-based learning opportunities for students.
- Assist with summer programs, camps, and special projects throughout the year.
- Provide general support wherever needed across both programs and help create a positive and meaningful experience for students.
- Transport students safely to and from campus, internships, community outings, field trips, and other program-related activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Disability Services, Business, Public Health, or a related field.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and knowledge of disability services and community resources preferred.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, schools, employers, and community partners.
- Knowledge of or experience working with Vocational Rehabilitation services and assisting individuals and families with enrollment, referrals, and accessing supports is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive.
Pay
$40,000 – $50,000
