TEACHER AIDE (SUMMER PROGRAM)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collects and prepares instructional materials as directed by the teacher.
• Works with individual students on special instructional projects or assignments.
• Affords assistance with crisis intervention and classroom supervision.
• Affords assistance in developing instructional behavioral objectives for the Individualized Educational Program (IEP).
• Affords supervision of students during lunch program and provides for the special dietary needs of some children.
• Participates in In-Service training, faculty meeting, and team meetings.
• Writes in notebooks and/or translates for parents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a Child Development Associate* (CDA) Certificate or 12 credits in Early Childhood Special Education or must obtain a Child Development Associate* or 12 credits in Early Childhood Special Education within 1 year from the date of hire.
