Teacher Aide | Grade 5

About the role

To provide a well organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide a structured and supportive learning environment
• Implement and adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Use data to inform instruction and adjust plans as necessary
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons and share resources
• Assess student progress and communicate with parents/guardians
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate individual student needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field
• Valid Kansas teaching license
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively

Qualifications

• Pass a background check
• Pass a criminal history check
• Pass a drug screening
