Teacher Aide - Full Time PreK-12 (Two Positions) - Rolling Interviews

About the role

The Barker Central School District seeks a dynamic and unique teacher aide who is student-centered and desires to be part of a collaborative team committed to improving students' learning, growth, and development.

Responsibilities

• Aids teachers in achieving teaching objectives by working one-on-one with individual students or groups to help them meet the skill levels of the class as a whole in a non-instructional capacity.
• Serves as a support staff member for ten months, covering any grade levels from PreK-12.
• Supervises students in all school activities as determined by administration or the teacher.
• Attends to the physical needs of students throughout the school day, providing physical assistance to ensure their health and safety in various settings.
• Demonstrates professional conduct towards administrators, faculty, staff, students, parents, and community members.
• Participates in district, building, and classroom staff development activities.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by administration and the teacher.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• Salary range based upon Support Staff Agreement

Pay

• SALARY RANGE: From $16.00 to $18.82 per hour, competitive

Schedule

• Ten month position covering PreK-12 grades
