Teacher aide/bus monitor

Job Description Essential Functions: Works with staff in the classroom, on the playground, and in field trip supervision. Also works with cook as needed. Assists in keeping classroom facilities clean. Replenishes materials and supplies for classroom activities. Assists staff in preparing snacks. Assists in craft and culture classes. Communicates bus rules prior to boarding and exiting the bus to insure order and safety Maintains discipline on bus at all times. Assists with boarding children onto and off of the bus, making sure each child is secured in his/her safety harness before departure and remains restrained while in travel. Enforces child drop-off procedures/policies. Assists with any necessary paperwork. Provide childcare during parent meetings and classes Performs a variety of other duties as assigned by supervisor. Education, Experience, and Licenses: Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalency, and a minimum of six (6) months working with children. OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
