About the role

Full-time Teacher Aide (also known as Child Care Assistants or Assistant Group Supervisor) position in the preschool classroom inside Knoch Primary School. This position works during the school year only, with summers off.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Care and supervision of children, ages 3 years to 5 years old
• Assist with lesson planning and creating fun activities
• Teach early education concepts (colors, letters, numbers, etc.)
• Supervise indoor and outdoor play time
• Inform parents about the child's day

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Two years of experience working with children (paid or unpaid, such as Summer Camps, Church Nursery, Babysitting, Bible School, or Volunteering with children)
• Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds without assistance
• Provide acceptable state clearances
• Able to multi-task and work in a team environment

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field OR 60 credits
