Teacher Aide

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Civil Service approval
• State and federal clearance based on a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check (details available from the district personnel office)
• Extreme patience working with young people
• Helpful and attentive to directions of the teacher
• Willingness and ability to assist in lifting and toileting of students
• Patience and consistency, with ability to manage challenging behaviors
• Assist with organizing materials and supplies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with parents, students, and staff
• Flexible and accommodating
