Teacher Aide

Duties And Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the classroom
• Assist with supervision of children during drop off/pickup time
• Aid in the clean up and maintenance of the Montessori prepared environment
• This includes cleaning, sweeping, dusting, moving furniture, and other chores necessary to maintain a clean, aesthetically pleasing, and safe environment for the children

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent and Federal Work Study approved student
• A current TB screening
• CPR training and First Aid certificate (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of employment
• Must be capable of bending, reaching, and running
• Must be capable of moving furniture and arranging classroom activities
• Must be capable of standing for prolonged periods of time
