TEACHER - ACADEMIC

About the Role

Diamond Grove Center is searching for an experienced Math Teacher to become a part of our team. This position is full-time, salaried, with hours of 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday through Friday. We are looking for a committed teacher who will be responsible for implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach students and create a relationship of mutual trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction using Edgenuity Courseware and MyPath
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor during tense situations
• Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities
• Provide targeted interventions designed by Edgenuity
• Write Individualized Education Plans and Service Plans
• Document student behavior on Q-15 Sheets
• Maintain a safe learning environment
• Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred from an accredited four-year college or university in the subject area to be taught (Special Education)
• Possession of a valid MS "A" teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught as required by the Department of Education
• Agree to obtain the EmD Certification within one year from hire date
• Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
