Teacher - 6th Grade Elementary Model (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students' performance in order to advance student achievement. Requirements

• Arizona Elementary Certificate K-8
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (required prior to start date)
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
• Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

Schedule

• Effective: 2026-2027 school year
• Location: Whitmore Elementary School - Glenn & Craycroft Area
• FTE: 1.0 (7.5 hours per day)
• Work Calendar: 9.5 months

Pay

Salary includes community-approved pay increases guaranteed through June 2031. Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
