What You’ll Do
- Provides instruction in business office education (e.g., typing, general business) and individual assistance
- Affasses educational needs of inmates
- Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individual assignments and training
- Provides instruction and individual assistance
- Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators
- Maintains discipline and/or security
- Counsels students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems
- Attends meetings as required
- Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment, grades, student progress)
- Inventories and orders supply and materials needed
- Researches, selects and recommends new teaching materials
- Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development
- Performs other duties as assigned
