Job Summary
Cougar Commuter Services' transportation demand management (TDM) office is developing transportation solutions that enhance the efficiency of our transportation system, promoting better mobility, reducing congestion, and improving air quality. These strategies will guide our community towards more sustainable transportation choices through planning, programs, operations, policies, marketing, communications, incentives, pricing, data, and technology.
Responsibilities
- Aids in the development, implementation, and operation of transportation programs and services.
- Collects and analyzes commute and transportation data.
- Compiles reports for internal and external partners, as well as institutional reporting.
- Reviews program effectiveness utilizing datasets and user feedback to track progress toward goals.
- Participates in industry discussions and remains current with industry policies, standards, and emerging technology.
- Identifies new opportunities and strategies in line with institutional interests and needs.
- Collaborates with stakeholders for campus community outreach, education, and promotion of programs and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (2 years related work experience may substitute for 1 year of education) in a related area.
- A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and effective communication skills.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills to prioritize conflicting deadlines.
- The ability to work independently, analyze, and make decisions to support internal and external customers.
Preferences
- Degree in transportation planning, public administration/policy, environmental and sustainability studies, or other field related to TDM.
