About the role

This position reports to the Galveston District Parole Office on a daily basis. Duties include direct contact with recently incarcerated offenders, ensuring successful rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Day-to-day functions include the oversight of District Parole Officers within the office.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field (preferred)
  • Four years of experience in criminal justice or parole work (for a great fit)
  • Criminal justice experience or a related bachelor’s degree (for a good fit)
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic
  • Solid understanding of the Parole Division and the rehabilitation process
  • Travel 25% (may spend 15 nights away per month)
  • Completion of Pre-Service Training Academy required
  • Hazardous Duty position
  • Outside applicants must submit to pre-employment drug testing
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
