TDCJ - Case Manager III - Substance Use Treatment

About the role

This position performs complex case management work involving reviewing and tracking case management activities for inmates participating in substance use programs. This position works closely with the treatment team, security staff, and others to monitor inmate progress while also preparing and presenting educational materials in individual and group settings.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited senior high school or equivalent (GED)
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to build rapport and maintain consistent, professional communication
• Work well in a team environment

Qualifications

• Familiarity with rehabilitation programming
• Comfortable facilitating structured educational groups and guiding discussions on substance use, anger management, and recovery
• Strong documentation skills and ability to accurately track progress, prepare reports, and maintain organized records
• Solution-focused when managing challenging behaviors
• Experience in criminal justice settings
