Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform a visual inspection of the finished product to ensure: Stitches are straight
- Ensure pattern is correct according to production ticket
- Ensure piece is Upholstered correctly to specifications
- Ensure there are no holes or flaws in the Fabric / Leather
- Ensure legs and finishes of legs are correct
- Make repairs as needed
- Push piece back to upholster to correct issues
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager
Qualifications
- Manufacturing Experience
- Preferred Experience Requirements: Experience in furniture manufacturing
- Minimum Education Requirements: Less than High School
- Preferred Education Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Skills
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues
- Strict attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes
- Ability to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Must be able to read a ruler
- Must be able to read an order ticket
- Must be able to tell the difference in finishes of the legs
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day
- Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime
- Must be reliable
- Must have strong English language skills, including: Reading, Comprehending, Speaking, Writing, Communication
- Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes
- Must adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others
