Tax Supervisor – Public Accounting
The Tax Supervisor at this established CPA firm is looking for someone with 5+ years of public accounting experience, progressive responsibility in tax compliance and review, and a CPA license or active pursuit thereof. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, and an advanced degree in Taxation is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage and review preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings for individuals and business entities
- Oversee tax projections, estimated payments, and filing extensions
- Conduct tax research and document findings with clear recommendations
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations while identifying tax-saving opportunities
- Maintain consistent communication with clients to address needs and provide guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- Master’s in Taxation preferred
- CPA license or active pursuit thereof
- 5+ years of public accounting experience
- Progressive responsibility in tax compliance and review
Skills
- Experience with CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar tax software
- Familiarity with workflow tools and engagement systems
- Strong Excel and data handling skills
