About the role
We are seeking a dynamic, highly-skilled, and experienced Tax Supervisor/Manager - CPA to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for managing the tax department and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing tax operations and providing strategic tax planning, with extensive experience working with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), C-Corporations, S-Corporations, and Partnerships.
Salary: $90,000 - $170,000 per year. Partner track available.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all tax operations including planning, compliance, and audit defense.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with the law.
- Prepare and review tax returns for HNWI, C-Corporations, S-Corporations, and partnerships.
- Manage relationships with tax authorities and external auditors.
- Provide advice on the tax impact of business decisions and potential acquisitions.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax law and regulations to ensure company compliance.
- Manage and mentor members of the tax team to ensure performance and development.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide tax advice and assess the tax impact of their decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or tax supervisor role.
- Extensive experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for HNWI, C-Corporations, S-Corporations, and partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
