The ideal candidate will oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and provide strategic tax planning advice. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and review the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to optimize tax strategies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning initiatives.
• Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise management on potential impacts.
• Prepare and present tax reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or tax management.
• Proven leadership experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
