About the role
Tax Staff at Crowe will work together to support clients spanning a wide range of industries including: manufacturing and distribution, retail, construction, real estate, and diversified financial institutions. We offer many different tax services for our clients, and new hires will be aligned to a practice during the recruiting process. Staff may have diverse opportunities to work as a team member on both domestic and international client engagements. We provide our professionals with training, opportunities, and support enabling them to take on additional responsibilities and encounter a broader range of experiences earlier in their careers.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of tax returns
- Basic tax research
- Learning foundations of tax concepts needed as a tax professional
- Work evenings or weekends when needed (Saturday and/or Sunday)
- Travel to client sites (car may be required)

Qualifications
- Proficient with Excel
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in tax, accounting, or similar degree
- Scheduled to meet the educational requirements to obtain a CPA license (new hires must fulfill state-specific criteria prior to starting)
- Relevant work experience (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $62,000 - $100,000 per year.
Schedule
This role follows a hybrid work model for candidates located near a Crowe office. Candidates who are not within commuting distance of a Crowe office may be considered for a remote work arrangement, subject to business needs.
