Job Description
- Tax Strategy and Engagement Oversight
- Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies for clients
- Analyze complex tax scenarios, including mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions
- Manage a portfolio of tax engagements, supervise tax staff, and review their work
- Maintain engagement progress, budgets, and timelines
- Monitor and manage tax filing deadlines, extensions, and compliance requirements
- Research and Analysis
- Stay abreast of evolving tax laws, regulations, and industry developments
- Apply knowledge to client engagements and internal training initiatives
- Lead tax research efforts to address client inquiries and resolve complex tax issues
- Client Communication
- Communicate complex tax concepts and strategies to clients
- Prepare and deliver presentations on tax-related matters
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Compliance and Documentation
- Review and oversee the preparation of tax returns for accuracy and compliance
- Manage tax filing deadlines and extensions
- Monitor and manage tax filing deadlines, extensions, and other compliance requirements
- Stay current with federal, state, and local tax laws and changes
- Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with other tax professionals within the firm
- Supervise and mentor tax staff
- Provide guidance, training, and feedback to foster professional growth
- Foster a collaborative team environment

- Identify opportunities to enhance tax workflows, processes, and methodologies
