About the role

This position will support our Private Client Services Group in the Boston office. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm; team members are expected to be in the office on average 3 days a week for in-person collaboration, with the cadence determined at the team level.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Engagement Manager on specific client accounts, responsible for pre-engagement planning, execution, final deliverable development, and billing and collections
  • Lead and manage multiple tax engagements that integrate tax efficiency with long-term tax planning strategies
  • Prepare and present federal and state income tax returns and strategize for clients
  • Work with all types of business entities including corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, fiduciary, and foundations
  • Identify industry/client tax planning opportunities and issues
  • Implement tax advice in response to new legislation and planning
  • Facilitate complex tax research and establish tax strategies for various client business transactions
  • Advise regarding IRS and state issues, and respond to correspondence and audits
  • Assist with interim tax projections and year-end closeouts
  • Provide supervision, training, and mentoring to tax staff, seniors, and other team members

Requirements

  • 8+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm
  • Private Client Services (PCS) experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent licensure required
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of tax software such as CCH Axcess
  • Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills

Pay

In Massachusetts, the salary range for a Tax Senior Manager is $150,000 to $200,000.
