Tax Senior Manager [Private Client Services Group]
About the Role
This position is rooted within the Private Client Services practice with a focus on tax services for Family Offices and Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs). We work with clients to help them achieve their goals around complex financial matters tied to their business, individual, and familial needs. The right candidate will demonstrate executive presence, emotional intelligence, and a growth mindset. They will collaborate on client teams, thought leadership, webinars, and seminars while remaining results-focused on assisting both internal and external clients in achieving their wide-ranging goals.
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm, and this position is considered hybrid. Team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in creating opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, professionals are encouraged to be in the office on average 3 days a week.

Responsibilities
- Reviews trust, personal, partnership, and S Corp tax returns not requiring advanced expertise
- Reviews amended tax returns not requiring advanced expertise
- Responds to tax notices and drafts initial correspondence
- Works on client matters while maintaining confidentiality
- Trains and supervises entry-level associates with sufficient technical knowledge
- Demonstrates proficiency in tax research, including knowledge of reference sources available to the firm
- Develops quality client relationships and loyalty through consistent customer service, quality work products, and professional integrity
- Serves as the prime point-of-contact for clients, ensuring they are fully informed of engagement progress and logistics
- Manages client relationships effectively, gaining the respect and confidence of both clients and the CohnReznick team
- Prepares timely and accurate bills for professional services rendered
Requirements
- BS/BA in Accounting; CPA required
- Minimum 8+ years of tax and accounting experience in public accounting
- Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB rules and standards
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Computer expertise, including knowledge of audit-preparation software and an understanding of the impact of technology
- Strong research skills
- Proven technical skills with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook; audit software, ProSystems or GoSystems, and CCH Engagement experience a plus
- Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task

Pay
In New York, the salary range for a Tax Senior Manager is $150,000 to $250,000. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which also includes a discretionary performance bonus and other benefits.
