Tax Senior Manager [Private Client Services Group]
for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. However we need to map content to these headings only if present. The posting does not have explicit Benefits, Pay, Schedule sections. It mentions hybrid work schedule (3 days a week) - that could be Schedule. It mentions Total Rewards package includes generous PTO, flexible work environment, expanded parental leave, extensive learning & development, paid time off to volunteer - that's Benefits. So we can include Benefits and Schedule sections.
We need to avoid repeating job title as heading. No Job ID.
We need to remove boilerplate: EEO, accommodation, unsolicited resumes, etc. Also remove duplicated lines.
We need to preserve all substantive information.
We need to use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use
for prose.
We need to include sections only when posting has real specific content.
Thus sections: About the role (maybe intro), Responsibilities, Requirements (or Qualifications), Skills, Benefits, Schedule.
We need to decide headings: The instruction says use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can choose appropriate headings.
We have content: "YOUR TEAM." describes team focus. Could be About the role.
"WHY COHNREZNICK?" could be Benefits? Actually it's about firm culture, mission, values. Could be About the role or maybe a separate section like "About the firm". But we only have allowed headings; we could put that under About the role or maybe under Benefits? Benefits is about rewards. The "WHY COHNREZNICK?" includes mission, values, work-life balance, total rewards. Could be Benefits.
"YOUR ROLE." includes Responsibilities list.
"Your Experience." includes qualifications/requirements.
Thus we can map:
- About the role: combine "YOUR TEAM." and maybe intro paragraph about firm growth.
- Responsibilities: list under Responsibilities
with .
- Requirements/Qualifications: combine education, experience, skills under Requirements
(or Qualifications). Use for list.
- Skills: maybe separate but we could incorporate into Requirements. But we need to avoid thin sections. Could combine Requirements and Skills into one section called Requirements (or Qualifications). The instruction says prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we can have About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Benefits, Schedule.
Thus we need to extract content for each.
Let's parse the posting:
Intro: "Job Description As CohnReznick grows, so do our career opportunities. As one of the nation’s top Professional Services and Business Advisory firms, we foster teams in Advisory, Assurance, and Tax services that value innovation and collaboration in everything they do! We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Senior Manager to join the team in one of our Connecticut offices. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week."
That's about role and schedule.
Then "YOUR TEAM. This position is rooted within the Private Client Services practice with a focus on tax services for closely-held business, families, and HNWI. We work with clients to help them achieve their goals around complex financial matters tied to their business, individual and familial needs. The right candidate will own the attributes of executive presence and emotional intelligence, as well as having a growth mindset. They will also be eager to collaborate on client teams, thought leadership, webinars, and seminars while remaining results focused on assisting both internal and external clients in achieving their wide-ranging goals."
That's about team/focus.
Then "WHY COHNREZNICK? At CohnReznick, we’re united by a common mission to create opportunity, value, and trust for our clients, our people, and our communities. Whether it’s working alongside your peers to solve a client challenge, or volunteering together at the local food bank, there are so many ways to find your “why” at the firm. We believe it’s important to balance work with everyday life – and make time for enjoyment and fun. We invest in a robust Total Rewards package that includes everything from generous PTO, a flexible work environment, expanded parental leave, extensive learning & development, and even paid time off for employees to volunteer."
That's benefits/culture.
Then "YOUR ROLE. Responsibilities Responsibilities include but not limited to: Reviews trust, personal, partnership and S Corp tax returns not requiring advanced expertise Reviews amended tax returns not requiring advanced expertise Responds to tax notices and does initial drafts of any related correspondence required Works on client matters while maintaining confidentiality Possesses the technical knowledge sufficient to train and supervise entry-level associates Establishes proficiency at tax research, including knowledge of the reference sources available to the Firm Acquires the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty Develop a professional relationship with the client. Gain the respect and confidence of the client by consistently demonstrating supreme customer service, quality work products, and professional integrity. Serve as the prime point-of-contact to the client. Ensure that the client is fully informed of engagement progress and logistics. Gain the respect and confidence of the CohnReznick team through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear and concise team direction. Prepare timely and accurate bills for professional services rendered."
Note there is duplicate "Responsibilities". We'll list items.
Then "Your Experience. The successful candidate will have: Education: BS/BA accounting; CPA required Minimum 8+ years tax & accounting experience in public accounting Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB rules and standards Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships Strong leadership, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills Computer expertise including knowledge of audit-preparation software and an understanding of the impact of technology Strong research skills Proven technical skills with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook; audit software, ProSystems or GoSystems, and CCH Engagament experience a plus Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task"
Then there is a paragraph about studies showing less likely to apply unless meet every qualification, encouraging to apply, EEO etc. We need to remove EEO boilerplate and accommodation etc. Also remove the duplicated lines like "Studies have shown that we are less likely to apply..." etc. That's boilerplate encouraging diversity; but it's not EEO? It's about encouraging applications. Might be considered boilerplate but it's substantive? It's a generic statement encouraging applicants. The instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. This paragraph is about encouraging to apply even if not perfect match; it's somewhat application instruction? It's not exactly application instructions but it's a generic encouragement. Might be considered boilerplate? It's not EEO but it's a generic statement. I'd lean to remove it as it's not specific to the role. Also the later EEO paragraph definitely remove. Also the accommodation line remove. Also the unsolicited recruiters line remove. Also the hashtags #GD #CB remove.
Thus we keep only substantive content: intro, YOUR TEAM, WHY COHNREZNICK (benefits), YOUR ROLE responsibilities, Your Experience qualifications.
Now we need to format.
Section About the role: combine intro and YOUR TEAM? Could be two paragraphs.
We'll do:
