Tax Senior Manager - Energy
About the role
Weaver is seeking a Tax Senior Manager with Energy experience to join our growing firm. This role provides federal tax compliance and planning services to Weaver's Energy clients. The ideal candidate will develop advanced knowledge in this niche, train and mentor other staff members, and possess a thorough understanding of individual, partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp returns, research, and general business planning knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Provide federal tax compliance and planning services to Weaver’s Energy clients
- Develop advanced knowledge in the niche of Energy tax services
- Train and mentor other staff members
- Manage, mentor, and develop staff
- Attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA or EA license
- 7+ years of experience in public accounting
- A thorough understanding of individual, partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp returns, research, and general business planning knowledge
- Technical expertise in tax planning and execution for Energy clients
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

- Technical expertise in tax planning and execution for Energy clients
