Tax Senior - Indirect Tax - Sales and Use Lookback Review
About the role
The role involves advising on indirect tax regulatory changes and supporting compliance and reporting needs for public and private entities. Responsibilities include identifying tax optimization opportunities, managing compliance processes, and handling multi-state sales/use tax recovery projects.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for tax optimization, credits, and refund recovery, as well as exposure reduction.
- Manage indirect tax strategies, compliance processes, remediation, controversies, and corrective filings.
- Support tax process reviews and technology transformation to enhance service offerings.
- Handle multi-state sales/use tax recovery projects for large, sophisticated organizations.
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline, at least 3 years of professional knowledge in sales and use tax processes, concepts, and tools, and a CPA qualification or equivalent.
Qualifications
Achieved or partially achieved CPA qualification, the ability to sit for a state Bar, certification as a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, or CMI designation.

Pay
$81,700 to $135,000 base salary range for the US, and $98,100 to $153,500 for the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento).
Schedule
Most people in external, client-serving roles are expected to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
