About the role
CohnReznick is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join our team in the New York office. This position is hybrid, with team members expected to be in the office on average 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
- Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
- Experience with reviewing and preparing the following types of tax returns: business tax returns including 1120, 1120S, 1065, trust return 1041, and personal return 1040 including Schedules C & E
- Must be able to perform various financial analysis including but not limited to balance sheets and income statements
- Experience in managing the process of financial statement preparation of compilations and reviews is a plus
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual year-end tax projections
- Willing to work on various ad hoc projects as needed during the year
- Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback
- Actively participate in proposals
- Gain the respect and confidence of the CR team through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear and concise direction and leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred
- CPA, JD or EA preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years tax+accounting experience in a public accounting firm
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Proven technical skills with MS Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Competence with tax compliance and research software to include Go Systems, BNA portfolio and projection, CCH, RIA
- Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task

Pay
The salary range for a Tax Senior Associate in New York is $85,000 to $140,000. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, additional benefits, and access to learning and development platforms.
