This position is hybrid, requiring team members to be in the office on average 3 days a week for in-person collaboration, with the cadence determined at the team level.
About the Team
This role is within the Private Client Services practice, focusing on tax services for Family Offices and Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs). The team helps clients achieve their goals around complex financial matters tied to their business, individual, and familial needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate executive presence, emotional intelligence, a growth mindset, and a collaborative spirit. They will contribute to client teams, thought leadership, webinars, and seminars while remaining results-focused on assisting both internal and external clients.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
- Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
- Prepare and review the following types of tax returns: business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065), trust returns (1041), and personal returns (1040 including Schedules C & E)
- Perform financial analysis, including balance sheets and income statements
- Manage the process of financial statement preparation for compilations and reviews (a plus)
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual year-end tax projections
- Work on various ad hoc projects as needed throughout the year
- Actively participate in proposals
- Manage client relationships through effective communication, timely and accurate updates, and clear direction
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Accounting or Taxation preferred
- CPA, JD, or EA preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years of tax and accounting experience in a public accounting firm
- Exceptional client service and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Strong tax research and writing skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Competence with tax compliance and research software (Go Systems, BNA portfolio, CCH, RIAS)
- Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask

Pay
In New York, the salary range for a Tax Senior Associate is $85,000 to $140,000. Salary is one component of the firm’s total rewards package, which also includes a discretionary performance bonus and other benefits.
