Tax Senior Associate [Commercial Services Group]

About the role

CohnReznick is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join our Commercial Services Team in our New Jersey office. This position is hybrid, with team members expected to be in the office on average 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
• Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
• Absorb and assist with the process and review of various returns
• Perform various financial analysis including balance sheets and income statements
• Experience in managing the process of financial statement preparation of compilations and reviews is a plus
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual year-end tax projections
• Willing to work on various ad hoc projects as needed during the year
• Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback
• Actively participate in proposals

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred
• CPA, JD or EA preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years tax experience in a public accounting firm
• Commercial Services industry experience preferred

Qualifications

• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Strong tax research and writing skills
• Proven technical skills with MS Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Competence with tax compliance and research software to include Go Systems, BNA portfolio and projection, CCH, RIAS
• Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task

Pay

The salary range for a Tax Senior Associate in New Jersey is $85,000 to $140,000. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, additional benefits, and access to learning and development platforms.
