Tax Senior Associate [Commercial Services Group]
About the role
CohnReznick currently has an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Senior Associate to join our Commercial Services Team in our New York City office.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
- Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
- Aid in the process and review of various returns
- Perform various financial analysis including but not limited to balance sheets and income statements
- Experience in managing the process of financial statement preparation of compilations and reviews is a plus
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual year-end tax projections
- Willing to work on various ad hoc projects as needed during the year
- Actively participate in proposals
- Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback
- Gain the respect and confidence of the CR team through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear and concise direction and leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred
- CPA, JD or EA preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years tax experience in a public accounting firm
- Commercial Services industry experience preferred
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Strong tax research and writing skills
- Proven technical skills with MS Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Certainty with tax compliance and research software to include Go Systems, BNA portfolio and projection, CCH, RIA
- Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
Qualifications

Pay
In New York, the salary range for a Tax Senior Associate is $85,000 to $140,000. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded, and inclusive parental benefits, and access to best-in-class learning and development platforms, to name a few.
Schedule
This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.
