About the role
The Global Investment and Innovation Incentives ("Gi3") practice at Deloitte Tax LLP provides comprehensive tax C&I services across more than 150 countries and regions worldwide. Our national team of specialists is dedicated to advising clients on sustainability and social Federal C&I programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage and facilitate Federal C&I engagements related to sustainability and ESG, including programs under the Internal Revenue Code ("IRC").
- Identify opportunities and advise clients on potential benefit and eligibility requirements.
- Maintain and develop strong internal and client relationships.
- Evaluate eligibility for various fact patterns and develop process with colleagues in other technical specialties.
- Execute work streams such as valuation studies, tax equity modeling, and life cycle assessment ("LCA") studies.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments and present potential opportunities to assist clients.
- Support with various internal initiatives and special tax-related projects.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, business administration, economics, engineering, environmental studies, geology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in related field (exception applies for master's degree with 2+ years of experience).
- One of the following active accreditations: Licensed CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), Professional Engineer, GRI Certification.
- Demonstrated analytical and research skills, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
