Tax Manager - Real Estate
Responsibilities
- Review Federal and state, primarily partnership and individual non-resident income tax returns
- Manage team members and projects to ensure compliance with tax deadlines
- Perform technical tax research on a variety of Federal and state tax topics
- Maintain active communication to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction
- Aid in staff development, and provide training and learning experiences
- Effectively delegate and oversee the work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, and removing obstacles
- Collaborate with partners and senior personnel on proposals and business development opportunities
- Provide timely training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff associates
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Federal and state income tax experience, including experience in public accounting
- Experience in preparing and reviewing partnership and individual tax returns
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Master’s degree in Accounting/Taxation
- Excellent research, writing and communication skills in English
- Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- CPA license or similar certification
Qualifications
- 6-7 years in preparing and reviewing returns for private equity companies that invest in US commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate assets
- Experience in taxation of real estate investments and projects
- ProSystem fx Engagement and CCH Axcess experience
- Experience reviewing partnership and individual tax returns
- Performing technical research on real estate tax topics

About the Role
This role is primarily on-site, and candidates who can work from the office are strongly preferred. Hybrid arrangements may be considered. Please note that fully remote applicants will not be considered for this position.
