Tax Manager (Public Accounting/CPA Firm)
TSG Executive Search is seeking a high-caliber Tax Manager to join a growing, highly respected CPA firm in Dallas. The firm prioritizes a sustainable client load, direct mentorship from partners, and an explicit track toward equity partnership.
Responsibilities
- Review and sign off on complex federal and state tax returns for C-Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, and High-Net-Worth individuals.
- Provide strategic, forward-looking tax planning and consulting to mid-market corporate clients and business owners.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of staff and senior accountants, conducting technical reviews and performance evaluations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients, managing billing, engagement scope, and annual retention.
- Conduct technical research regarding complex, evolving tax laws and present clear, actionable findings to clients and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation.
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience strictly within a public accounting or CPA firm environment.
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Strong proficiency with professional tax software.
